Caring & Conscious Castile Soap
With Goat Milk & Honey
A loving touch is your most precious gift.
Nothing compares to pure castile soap for gentleness.
This non-drying mild soap has a creamy lather and retains moisture to the skin by forming a breathable layer that does not block the skin's natural functions. Be aware that more lather in a baby soap is not necessarily good for your baby. Soap from coconut and nut oils (shea, avocado, macadamia) are luxurious additives that adults find very pleasing because they result in more profuse lather. But a baby's gentle skin requires only a mild cleansing and these oils can result in a soap that is harsh and sensitizing.
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced by the first pressing of the olive fruit through the cold pressing process and is the preferred grade for moisturizing the skin. Olive oil has reported regenerating affects on the skin tissue as well as the ability to regulate the natural moisturizing system of the skin. Olive oil smooths and softens the skin.
Soap characteristics: Hard bar, low creamy lather, very gentle.
The Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep hazard assessment for this product is LOW (More info..)
Ingredients include saponified organic extra virgin olive oil, organic castor oil, goats milk and honey.
Organic ingredients from Argentina and India.
The bar is wrapped in ritual Joss paper.

**Green Tip** What's in Your Baby Soap? |
|
Ingredients in a commercial baby soap:
Sodium Tallowate, Water, Sodium Cocoate, Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate
Sodium Tallowate (animal fat) is cheap and may be contaminated with PCB's.
Soap made from Sodium Cocoate (coconut oil) is considered by many to be unnecessarily harsh for a baby's skin but consumers love its profuse lather often confusing lathering with effectiveness.
Titanium Dioxide whitens the bar but adds nothing useful.
The last two chemical additives in the list are used to create more lather and prevent soap scum.
